^Lot 688 Colt 1st Model Dragoon .44 Cal #33070

'The Authentic Colt Black Powder Series' brings a finely crafted 2nd generation reproduction of the 1st Model Dragoon .44 caliber percussion revolver. It features a 7 1/2" half octagonal barrel, a blade front sight, notched rear sight in hammer, checkered hammer spur, smooth curved trigger, smooth walnut single piece grips, and a square back trigger guard. The unfluted 6 shot cylinder is roll stamped with a battle scene, and oval stops have been machined into it. There are matching serial numbers on the barrel, frame, trigger guard, cylinder, and backstrap. The barrel, cylinder, and trigger have a blued finish with approximately 98% remaining showing a couple of small scratches on the cylinder, and one scratch on the edge of the barrel by the serial number. The bore, rifling, and cylinder are in excellent condition. The action is smooth and crisp. The color-case hardened frame, loading lever, and hammer are all beautifully finished with only superficial scratches on the loading lever. The brass triggerguard and backstrap are excellent showing tarnished areas in the corners/edges of the triggerguard, and at the top of the grip by the hammer. This firearm includes original factory black cardboard box with documents.
